Now that you've upgraded your PC and made sure that RF will definitely run smooth in your new machine, you realized that in Windows Vista, RF doesn't completely work.

This is due to the the default settings of the UAC or User Account Control, a security feature in Vista, is causing a problem to your RF Online client.

How to make RF Online work in Windows Vista?

1. Go to the Control Panel. Do this by going to Orb > Control Panel.
2. Go to the User Accounts and Family Safety.
3. Go to User Accounts.
4. Click Turn User Account Control on or off.
5. It will send you to a page that looks like this:


6. Uncheck Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer.
7. Press OK.

8. INSTALL RF ONLINE! TO YOUR WINDOWS VISTA! WOOOOOT!


Hopefully, this will solve your poblem. If you did this already and is still having a problem in playing RF in Windows Vista, just post it here so I can help you troubleshoot.

Note: If your copy of Vista is Pirated or Cracked and you can't update it via Windows Update to get the latest hotfix and patches for Vista, then you might still have a problem.

im a not techy in computers but just want to ask what is UAC or user account control for? and how does unchecking this one protects my computer? and from what? from playing RF? is this safe with other programs running on vista?

The UAC is just to alert you of what's running in your Vista. That's the reason why RF doesn't work if UAC is on since RF's Hackshield thinks that Vista's UAC is a third party software trying to hack RF.

Sir mine actually work and i can play rf but wen im inside the game im seeing diffrent huge pixcels that cover evrthing around the map I can hardly see anything...any tips sir how to make that disapear?

This has something to do with your Video Card. Either update your drivers manually from the manufacturers site or use Windows Update.

mine has differeny problem could not read memory error dont remmeber the numbers then the client shutdown how can i fix it?

ang memory ram ko 512mb, 1.6ghz po, dual core processor ko ung video card ko intel® graphic media accelerator driver, OS ko po ay vista.
medyo lag po aq pero ung settings nun d hogh settings high settings lng po un pero lhat ng light off po tska shadow pero pag very high setting super lagg aq ksi tagal makapasok ng rf online.. san po ba ang problema pls answer..

No. The updates doesn't reset the setting of the UAC even if you update to Vista SP1 when microsoft release it on March.

You need more Ram for Vista. Vista eats up 1Gig of Ram alone if you want it to perform normally and fast. I suggest you use Windows XP if your RAM is only 512.

1. right click the RF icon
2. select "run as administrator"

Sir i have this problem, ngeon lang tlga, as in ngeon lang, regarding vista premium ginawa ko na yung sinabi nyo about sa vista, and nung araw na nag start ang crimson dawn na install at nalaro ko na po sa laptop ko ang crimson dawn, what keeps me bugging is,

bakit ngeon ang lumalabas n lang is connecting to launcher update server and after a 3 secs walang nangyayari nawawala nlng

then nothings happening

siguro nataon yung pag log in mo sa server down. Madalas magserver down ngayon ang RF.

try mo irestart yung laptop mo, then connect mo ulet. Ngyayari din sa laptop ko yan.

Try nyu gawin compatible sa windows xp service 2,Dis. desktop compositionm,Dis. display scaling on high DPI settings. Yan kasi setup ko eh + yung ke sir Apeiron...
