@bnj
I think you mean wireless and not broadband since both of them are broadband.
@TS
It depends on your preference and availability. If PLDT MyDSL is available within your area, then you can go for it since it is much more stable than wireless connection. On the other hand, if it is not, you can choose SmartBro if it is also available within your area and if you're not too far from the base station so that you can avoid long air delays which might affect the stability of your connection.

in my area in cabuyao laguna, smartbro is faster than pldt mysql plan 999.
speed of your wireless connection depends on a few factors
1. antenna location
2. obstruction
3. interference sa paligid
4. signal capacity ng base station
5. resource ng base station (how full was the relays)
and the last thing i learned from them was... if the routers and the engineer at the base station can cope up with the traffic. napalpak kasi minsan ung routers and the engineers/techie sa base station sometimes go kapush.. the invisible man.
*************
one thing for a tip was, learn to complain and learn to be humble. proper complain with some proofs and being humble to the needed level gets good results. it even resulted for me to have a balance of 8 months without payments and my connection is still active and no disconnection until i get a reminder that i am long time overdue in a kind manner of call.
pldt and smartbro share one thing in common, yung technical guys takes a lot of time to arrive and check your connection.. experience lang sa lugar namin even if ung kelangan gawin only requires 5mins of time like feeding the modem/router/antenna a new config setup dahil nareset.

3 ang plan 999 ng smart bro
999-1 = canopy
999-2 = share it
999-3 = plug it unlimited
-2 and -3 are up to 2 mbps kasi 3g/3.5g sila pero medyo mataas ang ping
AFAIK matagal na pinaguusapan ang speed upgrade ng -1 pero mukhang di na aabot sa 2mbps, hanggang 1 mbps
the future is 4g (3.9g rounded off to 4), pero may disadvantages. Globe wimax meron na. Smart maglalabas ng LTE. San miguel and liverty telecoms have just launched wi-tribe (see link)

@wi-tribe
On-going pa rin ang preparation ng network ng Wi-Tribe. I'm part of the team that they hired to establish their network. Maganda naman yung concept nila since wimax technology ang gagamitin nila. Medyo hindi pa lang sila ganun ka-stable sa ngayon kasi hindi pa tapos lahat ng preparations. ^_^
